Woodlawns Landscape Project

Following a disastrous 2017 winter during which 600 boxwoods were killed, Woodlawns new partnership with this high-traffic South Loop retail/residential lifestyle center began with strategizing a creative, long-term solution that addressed the immediate problem, while fitting the client’s budgetary limitations. Our team worked to create the highest impact, budget-friendly landscaping. Through the use of tough shrubs, perennials, annuals, and sod, the site has been transformed from mainly formal boxwood hedges to a combination of shrubs and perennial plantings. We removed all of the stand-alone colorful burgundy, navy, light blue, and mint green planters, and replaced them with sleek modern black fiberglass planters.
