Rocky Mountain Custom Landscapes
Caribou Country Retreat
Our clients envisioned a design harmoniously integrating their six-acre property with the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. The chosen design amplifies the region’s ethereal charm by interweaving natural stone, water, and preserving the stately mature trees, foliage, and native grasses. The team at Rocky Mountain Custom Landscapes (RMCL) led all aspects of the landscape construction, requiring the integration of multiple specialists and overcoming several challenges with the unique terrain.
RMCL added large native trees to the property to soften the transition of native foliage into flourishing planting beds. This interweaving highlights the quintessential ‘Colorado’ atmosphere while maintaining a manicured but still natural feeling landscape.
Due to the state of the property prior to construction, several areas needed to be addressed during the project. The soil conditions required extra excavation, base, compaction, and structural elements for hardscape and water features. Geogrid was used on all dry-stacked stone walls over thirty inches. These challenging conditions allowed RMCL to really show off their expertise.
Elements of our clients’ cherished California lifestyle were introduced, such as orchards, a state-of-the-art greenhouse, and a private pool – a tranquil oasis symbolizing the harmonious fusion of lifestyles.
This project captures the essence of two contrasting landscapes, synergizing them into one splendid tableau. It stands as a testament to RMCL’s commitment to executing ambitious visions, ultimately serving as a unique embodiment of our clients’ idyllic vision.
